Special message from Pastor Joe:

Greetings Beloved,

We usually enter a new year with hope for a better one. There is only one way to insure that the coming year is better than the last, by enriching our relationship with God.

We enrich our relationship with, as well as our devotion to, God through discipleship. Discipleship is the study of God and the practical application of that knowledge.

Here at Pembroke Assembly we are convinced our mission is to disciple souls so that they have more abundant lives. 2010 is going to be a notable year with exciting, challenging, insightful and empowering studies, presentations and discussions.

We're going to be examining the characters of the Bible on Sunday mornings. We'll look at

Adam, Cain, Noah, David, Peter, John and Paul, as well as many others that help us learn. What is it they did that helps us in our understanding of God and increases the quality of our lives.

On Wednesday's we will study along with Lee Strobel and his, The Case for Christ , The Case for Faith and The Case for Creation . We'll be exploring Crazy Love, Overwhelmed by a Relentless God , by Francis Chan and Andy Stanley's, Five things God uses to Grow your Faith .

Sunday evenings we will allow ourselves to enjoy the Holy Spirit's guidance. With praise, worship, prayer, discussion and study, we will be enjoying fellowship with each other and the Lord.

I'm writing this letter to invite you to participate in this journey to peace with God, understanding of the world, joy in the Spirit and rest from the confusion and fear of the unknown. I pray you'll join every meeting and allow yourself to receive the fullness of life God intended for you.
